In April 1991, Tony Codington, our Master Baker joined the team at Lakings to head up our bake house, producing top quality baked products, everything from our famous pasties through to our traditionally homemade bread. In addition to a growing list of wholesale customers (pubs, restaurants, delis, etc).

Lakings Bakery started initially with the aim was to produce a selection of great tasting pies and sausages rolls, utilising the quality meat available from the in store butchers.

We also produced quality bread without any preservatives giving you a great tasting loaf.


Today we offer a large selection of bread loaves and rolls along with a varied selection of traditional freshly baked cakes including egg custards, curd tarts and eccles cakes.

In addition, we produce the staples you would expect in any butchers including pork pies, game pies, sausage rolls and pasties.
