Let’s talk fast food. Not the burgers and battered chicken nuggets in a cardboard box kind – although we sell an amazing range of fresh burgers and premium chicken breasts so you could always make your own at home.

No, we mean mouth-watering food made using our ethically sourced British meat that you can create easily with minimum effort for maximum flavour. Our ambassador chef Rosie Dicker has devised some seasonal recipes that are perfect if you’re tight on time and what’s more, they’re purse-friendly, too. First up, Rosie’s Dan Dan Noodles, made using our pork mince.

Rosie says: “One of my favourite tasty yet quick meals to throw together when I’m late home or need some satisfying quick-sharp!” Ready in less than 15 minutes, this noodle dish is a modern twist on a classic stir fry and can be whipped up using cupboard staples such as soy sauce, garlic, and our fresh pork mince. Once you have mastered the dish, try using different noodles . There are so many types available, including gluten-free, which means you can cater to different dietary requirements, too.

Next, a dish that is a real people-pleaser and ready in roughly thirty to forty minutes – Baked Chicken Parmesan. Rosie says: “Incredibly easy once you’ve done it once, this will fast become a family favourite. It’s also a great recipe to get younger family members cooking too – get those fingers messy, dipping the chicken in the beaten eggs!

This dish originated in Italy and can be recreated in your kitchen using our chicken breasts, Panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Served with spaghetti and a sprinkling of fresh basil, it’s sure to be a hit.

We admit we are bending the rules slightly with the last of our suggestions… Beef Mince on Toast takes a couple of hours to make but you could always rustle it up in advance when you have time, keep it in the fridge or freezer and then pull it out of the bag if you have a busy day coming up.

And yes, you read that correctly – we do mean beef mince ON TOAST.

Of this unusual combination, Rosie says: “A comforting, classic but with my own twist, this will certainly put a smile on your face if you need a foodie pick-me-up. Perfect served alone, or my favourite way – with a perfectly poached egg.

You’ll need 1kg of premium Lakings beef mince, a strong cheese like Comte and sourdough bread to make the toast. You may also need an open mind… but trust us, it works.
